Aldersgate Playschool has served as a ministry of Aldersgate United Methodist Church since 1973. We are a children’s ministry set up to teach God’s love for each of us and to help the children grow socially, intellectually, and learn to respect themselves and others. We are committed to providing a happy, safe, and clean environment. Each child will receive nurturing love, a smile and a listening ear each day.
Playschool creates a fun and safe environment where your child matures and grows spiritually, emotionally, cognitively, and socially. Our activity centers create a “play” environment where the children learn to stretch their imaginations and develop their self-confidence while learning to respect each other. At this age, children learn through their play. Each classroom has a teacher and assistant in the room at all times. Each class has an assigned time for outside play on the playground or in bad weather in the gym. Aldersgate Playschool classes provide experiences that meet children’s needs and stimulate learning in all developmental areas – physical, social, emotional, language, and intellectual.

Classes offered
Toddlers: 1 to 2 years old
Two’s: Two years old by Aug 31
Three’s: These are two classes of threes which will be divided both by birth date (younger and older) and divided by potty trained and non-potty trained.
PreK: Four and five year old children tracking for kindergarten the following school year.
Please note: Classes vary from year-to-year depending on the children enrolled.
Tuition is paid in nine monthly installments, beginning in September and ending in May. Tuition per month is based on the number of days a child attends per week. We register for 3, 4, or 5 days per week. All tuition is due in the director’s office by the 10th of the month.

There will be a $40 program and operations fee that will be collected at the beginning of each semester.

Playschool operates 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday through Friday from September through May.
We establish our yearly calendar that follows the public school closings for Christmas and Easter holidays.
