The Youth Ministry consists of a group of teens from 6th grade up through 12th grade who meet on Wednesdays, Sunday mornings, and Sunday evenings to study about being good Christians, to worship, to participate in community service projects, and to fellowship together.
Sunday School: We meet from 9:00 am until 9:40 am for Bible Study. The Senior High Class and the Middle School Class meet in the Epworth Building.
Sunday Youth Activities: We meet Sunday from 5:00pm – 7:00pm for activities in Epworth. We regularly take outings to other locations for activities. We focus our activities around the four topics of fellowship, fun, service, worship, and study.
Please contact Trey Whisnant if you would like to be included in the emails that announce these activities. [email protected]
Worship
Aldersgate UMC invites family members of all ages to our Sunday worship services so that children, youth, and adults can share in their faith journey. We encourage youth to participate in the worship service. Youth can be readers, make announcements, lead prayers, and provide special music. The Youth Group leads a worship service at least one time a year.
Youth meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm – 8:30pm for dinner and an activity. This activity is for youth in 6th grade up to 12th grade.
You may contact Trey Whisnant if you are interested in more information. [email protected]
Youth may volunteer with Bible School in the summer.
Youth interested in joining the church will be able to join a Confirmation Class to be announced later.
Parents need to complete waiver and permission forms for teens to be able to participate in activities. These forms are available for download here: 2026 AUMC-YOUTH-WAIVER-AND-PERMISSION-FORMS
