Aldersgate United Methodist Church Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry consists of a group of teens from 6th grade up to 12th grade who meet on Wednesday evenings, Sunday mornings, and Sunday evenings to study about being good Christians, eat dinner together, provide community service to others, play some crazy games, and go on adventures together.

Covid 19:  Because of the pandemic we are experiencing, the Youth Program at Aldersgate UMC is meeting virtually through Zoom, email, and snail mail.  Please let me know if you would like to participate in these new ways to create a community of faith. [email protected]

Sunday School meets from 9:45 am until 10:45 am for Bible Study. The Senior High Class and the Middle School Class meet in the Epworth Building.

Sunday Night Youth is a time when youth get together to share a meal, some fun, and other activities that build Christian character. We begin our time together at 5:00 pm with a snack supper provided by parents. We then play some games and have a lesson time. We finish up around 7:00. Sometimes our schedule changes depending on the activities that we do. We focus our activities around the four topics of fellowship and fun, service, worship, and study.

Please contact LouAnne Davis if you would like to be included in the emails that announce these activities. [email protected]

Aldersgate UMC welcomes families of all ages to join us for our Sunday worship services so that children, youth, and adults can share in their faith journey. We encourage youth to participate in the worship service. Youth can be readers, make announcements, lead prayers, and provide special music. The Youth Group leads both worship services at least one time a year.

On Wednesday nights the Youth meet from 6:00-7:00 at different restaurants. This activity is for youth in 6th grade up to 12th grade. We discuss our faith, the Bible, and current issues of interest to the Youth.

You may contact Lou Anne Davis if you are interested in more information. [email protected]
