What is your S.H.A.P.E.?
At Aldersgate UMC, we believe that through God’s grace, all people are uniquely created, formed, and called to discipleship! Through our baptism, we are called to love and to serve God and other people. Putting our faith into action is at the very heart of our calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
S.H.A.P.E. is an acronym for five characteristics that help to determine God’s unique call in you!
Beginning August 21, we invite you on a five-week journey with God and one another as we explore our unique S.H.A.P.E. Each week in worship, we will explore one of the five characteristics as a congregation. For your personal study time with God, we will provide you with a weekly resource to engage each characteristic individually. All Sunday School classes and small groups are encouraged to have weekly follow up conversations using the S.H.A.P.E discussion guide that will be provided by the church staff. S.H.A.P.E. is an inclusive experience and we encourage all ages to join us on the journey to fulfill Aldersgate’s mission: “a caring and affirming Christ-centered fellowship, lay-led and community focused.”
We are looking forward to a time of growth in God’s grace and love!
Pastor Randy and Pastor Carrie
Resources will be uploaded after worship each Sunday.
